The Wrekin Mast - from George the Ancient

've just found  the papers and other records of the Public Inquiry about the mast.

Dated 3rd. March, 1970 at Bennetts Bank Youth Centre.

Anyone want to see them?

If so, let me know.

George.

On the copy and past bit. If you need to use Word to write, copy paste your text into Notepad—that will clean off the mark up, deselect and select all, copy and paste the text into an edit window on the site, and your text will flow naturally, then add bold, italic (or, hopefully, links).

We need a researcher, to go find interesting things about The Wrekin. Has anybody got any good stuff in their bookmarks?

This is partly why I patrol the aggregator.

Looking for news to post. It's usually off topic. Mostly it's teenagers in the US talking about "Miss Shropshire" but sometimes it turns up people writing how nice it's been for their visit to relaxing Shropshire. It used to catch interesting news (about the bid) in the 'Shropshire Star.' But that doesn't seem to work so well, now. I'll go ahead and add some more Salopian, Wrekin, historical words in this trawl of 4 million blogs sites and countless official news sources (I've subscribed to a Shropshire and feed from the BBC News, perhaps they can explain something I haven't.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/help/3223484.stm

Just looking at tonight's trawl through the blogosphere, I see family tree stuff, an odd made up story, somebody back from Shropshire, someone having a nice night with Shropshire Blue cheese. And an advert for re mortgages (?)  A Shropshire Star charity golf match, and the drugs raid in Telford yesterday.

Need some more defined words to pick up more on topic. Suggestions?

Also, just fixed it so you only need to write in the address bar of your browser "wrekinfriends" without quotes and the site will come up. No need for www dot nor dot com. Handy if you need to get there on a strange(rs) computer.

See if it fixes your woes, in the meantime I really don't mind fixing anybody's errors, weirdness, uncoolness and general, "how'd you do that, Steve?" Type questions, just get to posting the (any) stuff. Jill, shall I put the scout in memories, is it ready? Shall I put it on the front now? I'd like much more of these things flowing through. Do we need more editors? Shall we 'spam' or in Manila parlance, 'bulletin' our members, asking if they have any personal memories they'd like to post, with pictures even?
