Protest Camp 6 month Occupation Party and Wickerman Burning.
Greetings "All Friends", last night saw a party held at the Protest Camp, to celebrate two events, 6 months of denying Uk Coal the site by occupation, and a celebration of the coming Equinoxe by local Pagans, that saw a well constructed "Wickerman", ceremoniously burned, after being lit by flaming arrow from a Robed Witch with Longbow, and an Invocation by a High Priestess. many people gathered at the "Cloutie Tree" to witness the event, despite driving rain coming in as the fires dimmed. All in all a good day, in which local people came to see what goes on at a protest camp, and to take part in some of the workshops held there, and a walk around the Ercall/Wrekin for those who were new to the area. A well stocked bar, food a plenty, and some music from some talented people, added to the ambience of the day. Nice to meet some "Friends" from this site in person, especially Colin Thomas, who had a long and interesting chat with me about his forthcoming book. Pat. COTEYG.
